Benefits of reciting Durood
1-Abdullah bin Mas'ud narrated that: Allah's Messenger said: "The person closest to me on the Day of Judgement is the one who sent the most Salat upon me."
(Jami' at-Tirmidhi 484)
2-'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin AI- As (Radi-allahu anhu) reported: I heard the Mes-senger of Allah () saying: "Whoever supplicates Allah to exalt my mention, Allah will exalt his mention ten times."
(Riyad as-Salihin 1397)
3-The Prophet said: "Invoke more blessings on me that day, for your blessings will be submitted to me."
(Sunan Abi Dawud 1047)
Indeed, Allah confers blessing upon the Prophet, and His angels [ask Him to do so]. O you who have believed, ask [Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [Allah to grant him] peace.
(Quran 33:56)
5-Abdullah b. Amr b. al-As reported Allah's Messenger (as saying:
When you hear the Mu'adhdhin, repeat what he says, then invoke a blessing on me, for everyone who invokes a blessing on me will receive ten blessings fromn Allah; then beg from Allah al-Wasila for me, which is a rank in Paradise fitting for only one of Allah's servants, and I hope that I may be that one. If anyone who asks thatI be given the Wasila, he will be assured of my intercession.
(Sahih Muslim 384)
6-It was narrated that Abdullah said:
"The Messenger of Allah ( said: 'Allah (SWT) has angels who travel around on Earth conveying to me the Salams of my Ummah."
(Sunan an-Nasali 1282)
ALLAHUMMA SALLI ALA MUHAMMADIW WAA ALA AALI MUHAMMADIN KAMAA SALLAITA ALA BRAHIMA WA ALA AALIIBRAHIMA INNAKA HAMIDUM MAJID. ALLAHUMMA BAARIK ALA MUHAMMADIW WA ALA AALI MUHAMMADIN KAMAA BAARAKTA ALA IBRAHIMA WA ALA AALI IBRAHIMA INNAKA HAMIDUM MAJID.
O Allah, let Your Blessings come upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as you have blessed
lbrahim and his family. Truly, YOu are Praiseworthy and Glorious. Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as you have blessed lbrahim and his family. Truly, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious It was said to the Prophet (): "We have been commanded to send salah and salams upon you.
We know how to send salams, but how should we send salah?"
He () said: "Say: (Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammadin kama sallaita 'ala ali lbrahim Allahumma barik 'ala Muhammadin kama barakta 'ala ali lbrahima) O Allah, send Salah (Graces, Honours, Blessings and Mercy, etc.) upon Muhammad as You sent Salah upon the family of lbrahim. O Allah, send
blessings upon Muhammad as You sent blessings upon the family of lbrahim.
(Sunan an-Nasa'i 1287 | Sahih)

Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammadin wa 'ala ali Muhammadin, kama sallaita 'ala lbrahima wa 'ala ali Ibrahima innaka Hamidum Majid. Allahumma barik 'ala Muhammadin wa 'ala ali Muhammadin kama
barakta 'ala lbrahima wa 'ala ali lbrahima innaka Hamidum Majid) O Allah! Send Your Salat (Graces, Honours and Mercy) on Muhammad and on the family (or the followers) of Muhammad, as You sent Your Salat on lbrahim and on the family (or the followers) of lbrahim, for You are the Most Praiseworthy, the Most Glorious. O Allah! Sent Your Blessings on Muhammad and the family (or the followers) of Muhammad, as You sent Your Blessings on lbrahim and on the family (or the followers) of lbrahim, for You are the Most Praiseworthy, the Most Glorious.

Sending Salat Upon Rasool Allah ()
(Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammadin wa azwajihi wa dhurriyatihi, kamn sallaita 'ala ali lbrahima; wa barik 'ala Muhammadin wa azwajihi wa dhurriyatihi kama barakta 'ala ali lbrahima, innaka Hamidum Majid) O Allah! send Your Salat (Graces, Honours, Blessings and Mercy, etc.) on Muhammad and his wives and his offspring as You sent Your Salat on the family of
(Prophet) Ibrahim and also send Your Blessings on Muhammad and his wives and his offsprings as You msent Your Blessings on the family of Ibrahim. You are indeed the One Who deserves praises and glorifications.

Sending Salat Upon Rasool Allah
(Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammadin 'abdika wa rasulika kama
sallaita 'ala lbrahima, wa barik 'ala Muhammadin wa 'ala ali Muhammadin kama barakta 'ala lbrahima wa ali lbrahima)
O Allah! Send Your Salat (Graces, Honours, Blessings and Mercy, etc.) on Muhammad, Your slave and
Your Messenger as You sent Your Salat on lbrahim, and send Your Blessings on Muhammad and his
family as You sent Your Blessings on lbrahim and lbrahim's family (or his followers).
(Sahih Bukhari 6358)
The Messenger of Allah (said: "Send Salah upon me and strive hard in supplication, and say:
(Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammadin wa 'ala ali Muhammadin) OAllah, send Salah (Graces, Honours, Blessings.and Mercy, etc.) upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad."
(Sunan an-Nasa'i 1293| Hasan)
Sall Allahu 'alayhi wa Sallam may Allah send blessings and peace upon him. Allahumma Salli wa Sallam alaa
Nabiyyinaa Muhammad May peace and blessings of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad.
Al-salamu 'alayka ayyuha'l-Nabiyyu
wa rahmat Allahi wa barakatuhu peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
